Doris is left on her own after her husband leaves her after having an affair with her best friend. When our story opens Doris is currently living in the house she and her soon-to-be ex-husband have shred. She signed a prenup before their wedding so unfortunately, the house is his and he's decided to sell it leaving Doris to figure things out on her own.
I really enjoyed this book. Doris was easy to like and sympathize with. The biggest growth comes at the end of the story which had me clapping for Doris. I won't get into too much detail because I don't want to spoil it, but it's a really good ending. Her friends are a great cast of supporting characters that really helped bring the story to life. The writing itself was interesting. I was drawn into the story and enjoyed every minute of it. It's a great book about picking yourself up, dusting yourself off and moving on.
Overall, it's an enjoyable read. I recommend this for anyone who likes short books, stories about moving on and stories about growth. I would read this author again.
